501,000 tonnes of textiles are discarded into Australian landfill annually.
Our mission is to reduce the number of textiles that end up in landfill, due to massive garment overproduction and non-existent recycling initiatives.
At this rate, Australian’s are on track to PRODUCE ENOUGH TEXTILE WASTE TO COVER THE SURFACE OF AUSTRALIA BY THE YEAR 2030.
Fast fashion needs radical intervention now, and we must take responsibility for the entire life cycle of our products to ensure they don’t end up in the trash.
We plan to do this by offering our community the chance to return their unwanted socks to us. This saves them from landfill and allows us to reuse or recycle them.
Here’s how it works…
Purchase a home compostable satchel for $2 and send us your old socks (Australia only). We accept up to 10 pairs or 20 odd socks, if you’ve got a drawer full of singles.
Please ensure you wash them before sending them to us! We cannot accept unwashed socks for recycling!
Think of it like a gold coin donation for the environment — It’s that easy to begin reducing our collective impact on landfill.
When we receive your return, our team will sort through them to pull out any that we can up-cycle. These pairs will be sent to an industrial laundromat to be cleaned and then donated to people in need.
Any pairs that can’t be salvaged will be recycled and turned into new textiles, saving them from landfill!
You’ll also earn a $20 store credit for your first return! Put this towards one of subscriptions and instantly refresh your top drawer with new MANRAGS.
Let’s do this!
Purchase your home compostable satchel now and start saving your unwanted pairs from landfill!
Limit of 3 per transaction.
If you’re planning to make a commercial purchase (not for personal use), or wanting to share within your organisation — email us at email@example.com and we can chat about how we can work together!
