After the success of their world first sock recycling initiative, MANRAGS are excited to announce the launch their Clothing Recycling Collection — allowing Australians to have old, damaged or unwanted clothing and shoes collected from their front door!

“Since the launch of our sock recycling initiative in September 2019, our community had been asking us to accept other clothing items for reuse and recycling. It made sense to expand and offer collection of clothing and shoes whilst Australians were isolating [due to Covid-19] so that people could clean-out their wardrobes and not have to worry about leaving their house — and our team could continue to work throughout this period of uncertainty” explained Michael, CEO and founder of MANRAGS.

Participating in the Clothing Recycling Collection costs $25, which is fully redeemable on MANRAGS product in the form of a $25 credit. The fee allows up to 10kg of clean textiles to be collected from your front door, including things like old t-shirts, jeans, baby clothes, socks and even shoes!

“Australians are dumping 953kg of textiles into landfill every single minute and of this number 95% could have been reused, repurposed or recycled. So rather than tossing out damaged or threadbare items that your local Op Shop can’t accept, send them to us and we’ll prepare them for their second life!”

Items must be clean, so it is recommended to give them a quick wash prior to packing them into a suitable box or package. When you’re ready, simply reach out to MANRAGS who will send you a label to attach and a date that the courier will retrieve the items from your doorstep. It’s that easy!

This service is available Australia wide at $25 per collection of 10kg. For more information on MANRAGS’ Clothing Recycling Collection, visit https://manrags.com. au/clothing-recycling/

Launched in 2016 as Australia’s first premium socks and underwear subscription club for men, MANRAGS have since developed into the first company worldwide to offer direct-to-consumer textile recycling! Providing a sock recycling initiative as the first step in September 2019, the company were able to save over 13,000kg of textiles from landfill in just 5 short months.
